About Me
Hi, I’m Andy Dahnke—a proud follower of Jesus, wife to Addam, and mom to Myles. My life often feels like the saying, “When one door closes, another one opens,” and through it all I try to live with joy by learning from God’s Word and applying it to my attitude, relationships, and outlook on life. I know I'm a sinner, but Christ has made me a saint through His death and resurrection!
Creativity runs in my family, and I love using my gifts to glorify God and help others grow closer to Him. Sewing, laser engraving, and writing are some of my hobbies, but I also enjoy reading a good book, spending time outdoors, and cheering on my Fightin’ Texas Aggies! More than anything, I love spending time with my family and friends, enjoying the simple, everyday moments of life together.
Most of all, my heart is rooted in my love for God, my family, and the joy I find in the here and now, right where God has placed me.

The Blog
I created NotPopular in college because that's how I felt. I had no desire to be a "typical" college kid, even though I had a good group of friends, there were times where I wanted to just be "normal". So instead, when I felt not popular, I started writing. And what started as a healthy outlet, turned into a wonderful way to encourage & connect with others who were striving, like me, to follow God's will in a world that praises doing whatever it takes to be popular. My hope is that you are encouraged by the words of our Lord and my experiences to see that there is so much more in life than being popular.
